Would like costing and production for the following games

Games publishers will often crow about how many units they've shipped, and if the sales figures are good, they'll talk about those, too.
If you assume that all games are sold at £40, then you can make a pretty good guess about the value of the sales.
As for profit/dev costs, those are very confidential as they're sensitive info. If a game cost a lot less to make than a similar game, you know the competition would be spying to see how they cut the costs.
you may be able to estimate the production costs if you find out the average salary of a games designer, sound engineer etc and then look at the credits of the game and do some sums, but that'll still be making a lot of assumptions.
It's estimated that the average game costs $20-30 million to produce, but whether that takes into account the marketing budget and localisation for other regions, we may never know.
Then there's things that offset the cost, like in canada and france, the huge tax breaks that developers are given.0 -
Another aspect of costing to look into is the engine it uses. If they had to build it from scratch or buy in (might be similar in price, but much quicker to use someone else’s).
Epic could have spent a fortune on the Unreal 3 Engine, but loads of games have used it since, so much so that if you use it for non-commercial software you don't have to pay them.0 -
Yeah, using middleware is so much cheaper than developing one's own engine. That's why sequels can be squirted out faster than a lot of original IPs.0
