We currently have in our bath what i would call a normal shower head over our bath..like the one below but not a rain head, the power and temp control is on the bath where the taps for that are. Sorry no pic as cant find one!)
I have found one of these at a bargain price in the sale:
http://www.bathstore.com/_application/bathstore/products/showers/water-saving-airdrop/-airdrop-single-function-shower-system-2083.html?pg=0
and wondered if it would be possible to just swap them over? Plumber would do it but is is as straight forward as it looks? I'm thinking while he is round to get him to do it all at once but obviously if a pain we won't bother!
Thanks

its not very clear where the inlet connection is.
it certainly doesnt appear to be a simple straight swap.Get some gorm.0 -

The inlet connection on that particular link you mean? Being a woman i see it as exactly the same as what we have apart from the rain head bit BUT the temp etc is attached to the bath below as opposed to on the wall etc.
I will get the plumber to take a look if not and re book him if it not a huge task!
thanks x0 -
That head will be extremely resistive, your shower would require at least a 1.5bar pump for it to operate.0

Thanks how do we find out if we have a 1.5bar pump?0 -
I think Screwfix do similar shower heads that screw on to a bath/shower outlet...a straight replacement!0

and if I'd a pound for everytime someone has been seduced by this splendid marketing stuff from Bathstore (and many other suppliers) and failed to notice, or ignored this:– both heads can be used at the same time if there is enough water pressure and flow.
These overhead thingys require a seriously substantial water supply or you just get a dribble. I don't even think that a 1.5 bar pump will be sufficient to give a decent flow rate. Then again noone ever thinks of how quickly they empty the HW cylinder either. Oh and BTW if you've got a bog standard combi you'll get mains pressure all right but the water will be lukewarm or cold.

Thanks!
Keystone i didnt mean to use both at once..that's actually a strange thought!
I just like the idea of the big head for the shower and then the smaller bit for the cleaning side or while in the bath for hair etc.
We have a 2.5yr old house so not sure if that would help in terms of water pressure, boiler etc as newish but the shower we have now is good, can be on certain head settings very powerful but i just use one. I am calling the plumber in a min so will ask him to have a look and go from there..i am certainly not changing a good shower for one that looks nicer but is rubbish to use!
