I went into PC World at Preston yesterday to get a new Anti Virus and Firewall package. They had a massive push on the Norton products at half price (£30 down from £60) but the McAfee equivalent seemed to be full price.
As I made my way to the till though I saw a separate display away from all the other Anti-virus products with a large poster saying McAfee Internet Security suite half price! This meant it should be just £25.
Anyway, I took one of these to the till and she promptly asked for £50. I pointed out the poster but she said that was an offer from last week and it only applied when purchased with a new PC. I assured her that the poster made no mention of that condition so she went to check and said it must be a new offer that she was unaware of and promptly discounted it to £25.
I am delighted with the McAfee stuff and had no problems with the trial version on my PC. £25 is a bargain especially when amazon are still asking £39.88 for the same item
