Woohoo! We have just exchanged on our first property! Very excited.
Only downside, is we can't complete for another 7 weeks as vendors are moving into rented and havn't found somewhere.
Also, a little worried about building insurance - our solicitor is going to confirm some kind of agreement that means the vendors don't cancel their own building insurance for a couple of weeks because of the long time until completion - we had initially asked to complete in two weeks. So hopefully this will be ok....

Congratulations! Exchange is a huge step forward but don't go cracking open the champagne yet - the weeks between exchange and completion where the worst and most nervous part of the whole process as you are in limbo unable to make any firm plans about moving.
