Anti theft website

I hope this isn't against forum etiquette - I thought some of your readers might be interested in this new website - itsbeennicked.co.uk

It's a place where victims of theft in the UK can list their stolen items. Also a place where anyone who see something unusual or suspicious can go to see if it has been reported stolen.

All items must be reported as stolen to the Police before they can be listed on the site as no personal details are allowed for users' own safety.

Looks a bit dodgy to me. There is no indication of who operates the site. Is it an individual, a company, how do we know if it's legit with such little information?

The registrant of the website is an individual from Herefordshire who either in an effort to appear transparent has left the details visible or may have failed to realise the problems they may expose themselves to as a result of running the service. Other than that it appears legit.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

"The over-riding principle for this site is that any item listed MUST HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS STOLEN TO THE POLICE.Why do we ask that?
Because we do not allow you to post any personally identifiable details. You MUST post a Police Incident Number and a Police contact phone number."

wonder if the various police forces know about this?
