What programme or how did your son 'clean up' the computer?0

Hi,
right click on start button > properties, and see what it says there.0 -
he was going through the c drive at size of folders using tree size and said he had the start up folder and clicked properties and then put a tick in the hidden box thinking it would reduce the c drive, now when i go to the start up icon bottom left no programmes appeared0

Open folder option from control panel.
Find an option which says show hidden files..Select it and click apply..
You will now see all hidden files.
Select the folder and check its properties.
Uncheck hidden and apply.0
