Puddle under car

I have a year old Skoda Octavia with Climate Control.
I recently drove about 35 miles and parked for an hour. When I returned there was a puddle under the car. The skoda garage put it down to the Climate Control which hadn't even been on/used.

Can anybody confirm that this happens with Climate Control in their car?

It's happened a few times since and I want some ammunition before I take it back to the garage
I haven't got one!

Climate control/air conditioning will often leave water under a car when parked. Can't imagine it doing so if the unit isn't switched on though.

If on the other hand it's coolant leaking from the vehicle cooling (or cats pee) it will have a funny taste and your expansion tank level may have dropped slightly.

I'd better not taste it then!

It's definitely not coolant as the level hasn't changed

I drive HGV artics with air con,and they do leave a small pool under the vehicle, however, this usually only occurs when the air con has been used.

The idea of climate control over air con is that it is totally automatic. My car will engage air con whilst demisting even with air con switched off. The puddle is from water dripping off the condenser.

    Sounds perfectly normal to me.
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.
