hi,
If you're ever around Elephant&Castle (yeah, yeah, bear with me...) go to the Tai Tip noodle bar. Its kind-of joined on to the long edge of the the ugly pink building. It is GREAT. huge portions, very cheap. I *think* this is the same 'chain' as the Tai Won restaurant in Greenwich.
[EDIT - I just saw your request for 'trendy'Haha, well, its a good restaurant anyway]

Wagamama are doing BOGOF on main courses - get the voucher in Time Out (from your uni shop at a discount, obv!) - you can usually get a main and a drink for about £10. Or try the Hare Krishna on Soho square - all you can eat vegetarian curry thali for £6 IIRC. Or try Manze's pie & mash for proper old-school east end dining - there's one in Bermondsey and one in Peckham and I think one in Islington. Or the S&M cafe - sausage and mash, that is! - near Spitalfields. Or anywhere in Camden market, loads of cheap food there. All depends what you like, really!2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -

Buy 3 issues of the Times, and get one online bonus token, and up to 6 of you can eat out for a tenner. Ok, i know it's not as cheap as all-you-can-eat dodgy chinese (how do you think they can offer all of that food for that price..because it's rubbish, that's why), but a lot of classy restaurants are doing it- try Cafe Fish, or Livebait.
Offers starts at 2 courses for a tenner (and includes as FREE glass of bordeaux), and go up to £15, or £20 - depending on restaurant- for 3 courses...I am off to livebait Covent Garden as the one in Manc is fantastic, and for that price, it's a BARGAIN!!!!

*PS offer ends Sept 30th- get your tokens by then, but you can use until end of march 2007 (apart from December)*0 -
