Have you looked at eBay?
They seem to have a selection of mobility scooter batteries and some include an option to get the VAT exemption for disabled people.Just in case you were wondering (some have)..... I'm a woman!0 -

Hi, cost a fortune don't they. There is a fantastic site called wheelchair driver.com .... The guy who started the site is known as burgerman he is amazing and is font of all knowledge building his own electric powerchairs etc despite being very disabled. He has tried out every battery know.He puts things through major stress to proove value , speed , quality etc . I had probs with my powerchair only going 2 miles an hr , nobody knew what was wrong with it and had lost hope of sorting it out til I came accross his site it now speeds along and didnt cost me a penny thanks to him. Hope this helps somebody out there
