Leaking Flat Roof! Please advise...

Hi

The flat roof on our little shower room extension has just started leaking rainwater!

Rather than get ripped off by a roofer, I wondered if it's something I could patch up myself? Cash isn't really in abundance just at the moment...

The second image shows the area which seems to be leaking, although you can't see much.

I've heard of people using bitumen or other substances themselves to seal up leaky spots - is this a workable solution?

Any advice appreciated.

Ash

If this is a small roof then redo it if multiple leaks...materials are not expensive

or use bitumen/rubber based sealer/paint to patch
  • to be honest m8 you can patch and patch with all these products but after a short time it will start leaking again.....being a flat roofing contractor for 23 years get it done properly and in the long run it will save you money.
If you do go down the repair route aquapol is the better one to use but expensive, make sure the area is dry and dust free when you do the repair and you put a good coat on the effected area.
