Change counting machines in banks?

    They are in larger branches of some of the banks - HSBC and Natwest for certain, probably some others.

    They don't charge - but they do require that the money is deposited into your account. They don't change it as such

    Royal Bank of Scotland have them aswell in the newer refurbished branches. They are great and you don't have to pay a fee.

    No none near me either:( They must be a bit slow working themselves up to the North East:mad:

    The counting machines fees are too high. There are ones in Morrisons too, they charge 8%.
    Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410
    Target for Dec 2011: £17000
    Lloyds - Early Jan: £[STRIKE]2040[/STRIKE] Feb: £[STRIKE]2050[/STRIKE] Mar: £0
    Other Lloyds @ highest: £9800 Feb: £9800

    There is one fly in the ointment - at some (not all) of the branches where they have these machines they seem to have done away with counter service altogether - they (and similar machines for notes and cheques) are the only way of paying in and ATMs are the only way of getting money out.

    I suspect there are 'special arrangements' but they are not obviously on view.
