Hi
I read a thread yesterday (I am sure it was on this site but cant find it now ) About someone had had gone to a change counting machine in her bank and the money had gone into her account automatically!
I bank online and cant even remember the last time I was in a branch of my bank (A&L) do all banks have these now? Which ones do it? Where can I find one???
I know the ones in supermarkets charge a percentage, do the ones in banks?
Thanks in advance
Caro

I haven't seen these anywhere, but they sound like an excellent idea.I'm a...I'm a real traditionalist of course0

I think it is some HSBC branches that do this?0

I think they sound like a fabby idea too, I am always been putting off counting all my loose change tin, I always seem to get the bags muddled or am short in one and too much in another it really puts me off doing it.
I had been tempted by the onea in Tesco/Sainsburys but if I can get it straight into my account it would be great.
Shame I dont have a HSBC account!

I believe that some HSBC Branches have them. I Know that some Natwest Branches do (I use the Brighton one quite often) and if NW have them then RBS will do too....Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

My Barclays branch has got one....Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0

These take about 7% of your money as its fee.
And how do you know that it has counted correctly too?.....0 -
Wicked, never heard of these in banks before, only the 7% commission supermarket ones. Hope Halifax follow suit, fab idea, and would save queues#39 - Save £12k in 20250

Our local HSBC has one, my mate lets me put it into his acount and then he gives me a cheque. £220 on the last one!0

What a good idea:) Do Barclays have them? And do they charge for them? Its a right chow on counting all the change:mad: I've got one of those huge whiskey bottles that is nearly full, it would be great if I could take it in and just pour it in:rotfl: The only drawback is it weighs a ton:eek: and I've seen the bottom fall out in a local pub - there was coins everywhere!!!!0

I don't have an HSBC account but went into one of their branches for some money bags (as it was the closest one) and they had a change counting machines which pays into your bank and doesn't charge a fee.
Would love to see Halifax roll it out in my area - we save everything 50p and below and its quite a job counting it and then trying to get it all into the bank with the 5 bags per day restriction!0
