wallbash = just out of interest the "cut out" where the dvd player etc lives, roughly how far back into the wall does that go and what is the other side of the wall?
Also the black facial plate over this cut out, do you remember where you got it?
Personally do like the look of your setup, but I cannot use as dont have walls which will accomodate this.0 -
Its a home made box ,then a bit of beading sprayed black.
Yes , I am very fortunate, the box sits in the chimney recess.The wall should be an exterior one , with the 'breast' outside. But the previous owner built a huge double garage on that side of the house.So the electrics for the tv , comes from the garage.
As I said, to 'wire' the boxes up , the box is removed , cables inserted, box back into wall. Virgin and dvd connected, both set box's are then slid into home made box.
I had a huge CRT tv before, but it was placed in a box recessed into chimney, it gave a very good impression of a flat screen for a number of years.0 -
