Yeah, me
Not to start with, but once they realised I couldn't be bullied they gave up the empty threats. I'm over-the-top nice to them, very patronising and sickeningly cheery. I can afford to pay more than I'm paying, so every now and then I up the payments. I don't tell them I'm doing it, then a few days after the new payment has reached them I get a phone call asking if I've upped the payment  They're sooooooo impressed with me and I hardly ever hear from them, if I do speak to anyone it's because I've rung them
I have to say, even thought everyone seems to hate them, Intrum Justicia are my fave DCABulletproof0 -
Thanks Troo... are they Nat Wests collector ?0

I've only had nice experiences when I've called them to offer to pay money - they'll bend over backwards if you can offer them a decent amount up front then a payment arrangement for the rest, but if you can't do that, then they seem to get nasty.
Does it count if they're only nice if they're getting their own way?DFW Nerd No. 140

I don't know
My debt is from Great Universal catalogue. I owe £157.18 - I can afford to pay it off. Shall I? NAH :rotfl:
Edited to say -I was replying to Mike when I said I don't knowBulletproof0 -
I think part of the issue.. well mine i might add... is that if you call them to update them or to give them info they are right nasty, they demand money on every call... have you noticed on every call there is a script in the introduction that asks are you going to clear this debt today ?0

Intrum Justicia work for G.E Capital. They were really horrible and gave me lots of stress when I was pregnant with 1st child. Sure this contributed to high Bp which led to other complications.Keep Calm:cool: Smile

My Ex used to talk to them like he was !!!!!! and exceptionally slow - they got very frustrated talking to him and eventually gave up being confrontational and rang very rarely. It must have said on his file "Too much like hard work"
I used to be in stitches listening to him do a "Forest Gump"

NCO were nice to me - only because I reported them to original lender who were not impressed when I told them how they treated me as it didn't show them in a good light for using them.Keep Calm:cool: Smile

In the beginning, I didn't know whether their demands were enforcable. Once I found out they weren't, I decided to completely ignore the bits that said "pay now or die" (well that's what it seemed like they were saying lol) and just accepted that it's my debt and I will pay it but I can only pay what I can afford. I'm not even sure if they're getting their own way with me, I tell them what I'm paying and I WILL NOT shift.
I didn't pay an amount upfront, I started paying them £4.05 per month, they get £15 now.Bulletproof0
