Hi

Just a quick question.
I filled in the online application for them last week and it said they would get back to me and then a few hours later I received a Vanquis Bank Credit Card Agreement email which read.............

and keep for future reference. You will need Adobe reader to view them, if you
don’t have it you can download it free at https://www.adobe.co.uk.

Please do not respond to this email, if you have any questions call us on 0870

Thank you for choosing Vanquis.

I applied for this card 7 days ago.
Upon filling int he on line form it said they'd get back to me.
Almost instantly i received the terms and conditions.

So it is standard procedure to send out t/c's even if they are going to refuse you?

From bottom of letter it states:

Vanquis card is issued by Vanquis Bank Limited.
Registered office is Colonnade, Sunbridge Road, Bradford.

I too had never heard of them until i received the letter from them today. I imagine one of the directors must be a Mr !!!!!! Turpin :p

  • No, do a search for Vanquis on these forums and you'll find that these cards do have their place, even though they are charging a horrendous rate of interest. If you are someone who needs to rebuild your credit record, or have none at all and need to start, this can be a way of doing it, so long as you are very careful to always pay the balance off every month. Check out other posts on this site from people who know loads more about this than I do. Whatever you do, don't pay anyone 49.9% for anything!!
