I bought a flat and then moved electricity suppliers.
Estimated bill arrived from outgoing (Npower).
Then a series of threatening letters demanding payment.
I explained that British Gas were going to put a standard dispute process through on the hand over numbers. It took about 2 hours of phone calls to get BG to do this.
Meanwhile NPower told me that they couldn't stop the letters and I'd be best of paying.
Luckily, when a telegram style letter arrived, the person on that number managed to put a hold on the "debt collection" process. That was a few weeks ago.
Well, I've just received another letter from NPower, once again demanding the payment.
I'm now paying 3p per minute for the pleasure of queuing on the telephone. 10minutes so far.
