I wonder if anyone can advise please? I notice that I've been getting a lot more spam recently. Amazon orders (I don't use Amazon, none delivery of mail notification(mailer-daemon@sky.com) as well as the usual viagra adverts etc. I'm not very technical and if they are in the spam folder I delete them without opening. Am I doing the right thing and is there anything I should be concerned about or is there anything I can do to reduce them?
I use AVG free and Spybot search and destroy regularly. Thanks for any advice:)

The only thing you should do is glance down them and check there are no false positives (stuff you want marked as spam). TBH I don't bother most of the time and just delete it all although I have spotted the odd false positive from time to time.0

One of the best ways to get rid of Spam is to get your own domain and use the multiple e-mail address facility that this gives you.
I have done this for some years and apart from the odd "bank" telling me to verify my details, I get no Spam - I would be lost if I needed Viagra !
I use 1 & 1, prices are from £2.99 a year, plenty of others around.0
