housenetwork.co.uk - conveyancing service

Hi
We have been delighted with the service provided by housenetwork for selling our home and they have offered us a good price for conveyancing work. I am very tempted to go for it based on our experience of them to date and the price but I was wondering if anyone had any feedback of their conveyancing service?
(I have always used the same reliable solicitors in the past and am very nervous about moving away - but the housenetwork offer is very tempting...)
Any feedback or comments appreciated.
Thank you.

We are currently using them - very efficient, they send you all the forms by email and then you have to print them off and return them. All very quick so far0

thanks for the tip - i'll consider them for our forthcoming move - is it unusual for conveyancing that they waive the fee if the move doesn't go ahead? (land searches etc you'd still be liable for)0

You’d have to pay any conveyancer for disbursements paid on your behalf, but not any fees if it’s ‘no sale no fee’. Of course those disbursements would cover you for next time, so no double payment.
Mrs_c, they’re actually Premier Property Lawyers. We’re using them via the cheap deal, and all okay so far. You might need to keep an eye on various elements of the work, just like you would with anyone really.
There’s a thread on HN generally, including their conveyancing, covering the positives and negatives (mostly positives) here:

no completion no fee is a usual sign of the cheapos whee they don't care if they lose some clients because they do bulk conveyancing with low skilled 'conveyancers'
they may appear efficient, but god knows what problems you may have revealed when you sell.
use a local solicitor firm everytime....and make sure you get a 'solicitor' for your fee, smart movers do
good luckMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0 -

I have two sales running at the moment. The one with the online EA and the online conveyancer is running like the proverbial sewing machine, and the one with the high street EA and high street solicitor has fallen apart three times now, mainly due to what I’d call old fartism.
This of course is just my personal experience, but many posters on here have likewise reported excellent results. :money:
Keep up the FUD; fear, uncertainty and doubt, tactics though, if you feel it helps your profession!0 -
Solicitors, tigers and conveyancers. Oh my!0

Thanks to everyone who replied. After much deliberation we decided to us the same firm we had used before. The deciding factor was we wanted someone we could look in the eye, rather than someone at the end of a phone. We may pay a little more but wanted peace of mind.
Already we are very happy that we made this decision as things have already got a bit complicated and it's reassuring to be able to pop in and discuss things with our solicitor.0
