I am going to do some more comps (fallen a bit behind, particularly monthlies), and want to look at changing my contact lenses so I can get them more cheaply. Oh, and sell my old mobile phone!

    Hi Katey,

I changed to $pecsavers and found them quite good...also because my contact lens check is free with them and my eye test was only £5. :money:

    Hi everyone!

Hope you are all ok today! Well Ive been a bad girl today, got the cc bill, folded it in half to deal with later as oh at home today and I have had a spend. its terrible, i so need to get on top of it, need to be in right frame of mind. Dont need this stress at the moment. Need to sit down and work things out! Pay day in a couple of weeks.

Anyway having another lazy day which I am feeling terrible for. Am actually waiting for some works to be finished in babies room then I can get in there and continue sorting bits out not only putting all the bits in there but also collecting for ebay/tidying and decluttering! Its a mission.... I need to keep telling myself this.

Been also having a good think of where I can try to claim from. a couple of months ago i did a ppiclaim for an existing loan which I am still paying back. Anyway cut a long story short, they made me a offer which i signed and agreed to however they paid me £500 short and sent me a letter about this which I have discovered since filing them. So I need to write to them including copies of both letters and demand my money!!! Also going to put a claim in to capital one for charges. Its worth a try to go towards the cc fund!

still clearing the cupboards out in the kitchen! do need to get some basics today but wont be getting lots just the bare essentials!

Not happy with the weather, I have lots of washing to do and no space to dry on airer! we must do a sun dance!!!

    Well its nearly the weekend!!!!

    Hi Unsavy!

Nice to see you again! This website has great advice on claiming charges back, etc. They have step-by-step instructions and letter templates too - I am in the process of claiming back from C4pital 1 as well, just sent off my letter yesterday requesting the refund....will keep you posted.

Also, the website mysupermarket.com is really good for checking out offers in supermarkets - I have found that using that, combined with making out a mealplan has saved us about £30 A WEEK  on our grocery bill! :money:

As for opening your letters....if you do - we'll give you a virtual h0bnob and lots of :grouphug:

    Keep smiling!

    Jo :)

Hi folks , another day off for me today. Had an appointment in town and needed to be up early but feeling a bit down and just CBA so rang and said I couldn't make it and stayed in bed till lunch.

Up now but not in the mood so doubt I will achieve much today.

On the bright side the man came to collect DDs lappy which samsung are going to repair for free even though it is out of warranty. At the same time he brought me the new battery for my lappy which had a battery recall in April and my giant tumble tower that I won in a comp :D

    My list for today :
    • check banks - its gonna be close
    • pay store card - done
    • transfer balance of storecard to 0% card
    • pay catalogue - done balance now £0.00 :D
    • Ring Tescos re home insurance quote
    • Ask DD to post Ebid sale
    • Look for jobs
    • meals from stores
    • tidy up this tip a bit
    • surveys
    • comps
I keep hoping to hear an announcement about redundancies. I work for a PCT and hate my job (I like the people I work with but those in high management seem to have lost contact with the real world). I would love to be made redundant but have nearly 20 years service so i guess I will be too expensive to let go. Its a shame as a private company have asked me to work for them but it would be a paycut and with my debt i can't afford it. A redundancy payout I could.

    Well best get looking
