Thurs 15th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Gooooood morning lovely people:j
Well, after a complete waste of a morning at the hospital yesterday I must do something useful today! I waited 1.5hrs and was seen for 2minutes...'you look very well' he said, 'you can go'...gee, thanks!!What a check up...oh well, at least I have an appt next week with my Gastro doc I've been seeing for 10yrs, he'll be more useful:p
Ok, I'm seeing my college tutro tomorrow-she wasnts to see what I've done so far....eeeek, not much:eek: So, that's the plan for today - get some ideas going and plan a few of the short assignments.
Welcome to new posters - lovely to see new faces! And big hellos to all you regulars:T:T
Ok, my list:
Have a great day;)

Morning Millie and all who follow
I'm up early because I'm off to do my voluntary job today, and I've been waiting for this thread to open :rotfl::rotfl:
Really cold last night (-3 ) but I moved an extra quilt from the spare bed and we were warm enough
First time I've slept well for ages
So today I have/will:
must put out the bins - I keep forgetting.
Popeye is out tonight so I'll have a plate of pasta for supper - my favourite
MUST buy wood - we ran out last night so not a NSD.
Will roast some veggies for supper/freezer and that will keep me warmer
15 mins on the CT - I can't see any improvement but I'll keep on.
Pay car servicing bill on-line
Start collecting things together for our week away next week :j:j
I should count the reading the papers on-line as MS too.
Tomorrow I'm being taken to a place where there are bargainous clothes, so I must work out where there are gaps in my wardrobe, otherwise I keep buying the same things again and again
Have a great day everyone :A0 -

Morning everyone
Not liking the weather at the mo... still raining here
My list for today is: -- check on-line banking
- check e-mails for surveys
- check one-poll
- DH already been outside picking potatoes with DS - we have quite a few :T
- go for a run later on
- have salad for tea using bits and bobs from fridge and potatoes from garden
- take trout out of freezer today and put in fridge to defrost for tomorrow

Katey - have you ever tried the gas permeable lenses? I had to get them when I first started wearing lenses (a few years ago now!) and have never changed to the soft ones. I think they take a bit longer to get used to but they only cost £60 a pair and usually last a couple of years (as long as your prescription doesn't change) so it's a massive saving.
Have a great day everyone, will update later

Hi everyone!
Hope you are all ok today! Well Ive been a bad girl today, got the cc bill, folded it in half to deal with later as oh at home today and I have had a spend. its terrible, i so need to get on top of it, need to be in right frame of mind. Dont need this stress at the moment. Need to sit down and work things out! Pay day in a couple of weeks.
Anyway having another lazy day which I am feeling terrible for. Am actually waiting for some works to be finished in babies room then I can get in there and continue sorting bits out not only putting all the bits in there but also collecting for ebay/tidying and decluttering! Its a mission.... I need to keep telling myself this.
Been also having a good think of where I can try to claim from. a couple of months ago i did a ppiclaim for an existing loan which I am still paying back. Anyway cut a long story short, they made me a offer which i signed and agreed to however they paid me £500 short and sent me a letter about this which I have discovered since filing them. So I need to write to them including copies of both letters and demand my money!!! Also going to put a claim in to capital one for charges. Its worth a try to go towards the cc fund!
still clearing the cupboards out in the kitchen! do need to get some basics today but wont be getting lots just the bare essentials!
Not happy with the weather, I have lots of washing to do and no space to dry on airer! we must do a sun dance!!!
Well its nearly the weekend!!!!Clutter clearout - 12 bags
Avon sales actual earnings - £0
Ebay £ withdrawn (from dec 10) - £203.45
Be very positive about life and the achievements I want this year! :j I will succeed.0 -
Thanks NowPanicking! I tend to be rubbish at looking after my lenses, so will probably go for the cheapest monthlies I can get. I did have gas permeable yearlies at one point, but I managed to tear/scratch them too much.:jCentre Parcs trip'[:j Creme egg cup :jStomp tickets:jVery Valentine book:jKoala :jbiscuits x3:jAll the Fun of the Fair tickets:jMini Cruise to Amsterdam:jRimmel lippy:jLightning Seeds tickets:jRistorante pizza:jSeeds:j3 Benefit Lippy:jrazor:jPuddle puppy:jwii and tennis game:jTrunki washbag:jAmazon voucher:j0
