Blackcurrants - Made jam & really chuffed :)
We have had a bumper crop of blackcurrants this year after two years of almost nothing!
I made some blackcurrant jam tonight and it has turned out really well. I am so chuffed, I just had to post and tell you :j. Jam making has always been a bit hit and miss for me but this one is lovely. The second best one was a mixed fruit one I made by accident a couple of months ago lol. I was intending to make a fruit sauce for a dessert and ended up with a rather tasty jam
I also have some balckcurrant liqueur on the go. I've never made it with Bacardi before but it should be good I would have thought. I had a bottle I was given for Christmas, so thought I might as well use it up.
It makes up for the lack of cherries this year. I don't know what happened but we had hardly any. Never mind.
