Oh I'm loving T&V at the moment!0 -
I was just looking at the test and vote FAQs and it looks like once you get those 40,000 points you get a pixmania voucher! What's happened to the amazon vouchers???? When (or if) my points are credited I would have hit the threshold but now it seems I wont get that amazon voucher I was after.0

Hi Everyone,
I've just posted the following 'Opinion' in the Creativity/Short Stories Category. It's called 'the Not So Super Supermarket' and provided it gets past the T&V censor, I think most of you will find it quite amusing - it might even remind you of something! Remember, my name at T&V is newjanet, not fallen121.
Here's the contents, anyway:
Once upon a time there was a supermarket who gave out vouchers to customers. You didn't have to buy anything to get the loyalty points, you just needed to turn up at the store once in a while.
At the entrance to the store were various people with clipboards. They used to ask the customers what they thought of the products in the store, and customers would be given vouchers in exchange for filling out the questionnaires.
Ever so often the supermarket would give away a promotional item from their electrical department to a customer in return for a product recommendation. Customers could sign up to be selected to receive the promotional items and customers who signed up would receive even more vouchers.
Customers could exchange their vouchers for shopping vouchers at other stores. This ensured that customers continued to frequent the supermarket and in consequence all the shareholders of the supermarket were extremely happy.
One day a group of customers visited the store and the first thing they noticed was that there were hardly any people with clipboards at the entrance to the store. So they asked what was happening at customer services. 'Oh don't worry about that,' they were told. 'All the people with clipboards are on holiday. They'll be back soon'.
The next thing they noticed was that the supermarket wasn't giving away vouchers when they signed up to do the product recommendations anymore. But as the offer that week was an expensive piece of electrical equipment, they didn't worry too much. As the customer services representative pointed out, they wouldn't even miss the loyalty points as they got to keep the item and take it home. And it was a very expensive and exclusive piece of equipment which usually cost a lot of money.
The following week some of the same customers returned to the store and this time they noticed that there weren't any people with clipboards at the entrance to the store. They waited a long time at customer services but eventually they were told that all the people with clipboards were visiting another store and they would be back soon.
The next thing they noticed was that the product recommendation item was not an electrical item but a bar of chocolate. But as the customer services representative pointed out, a bar of chocolate is much easier to give a product recommendation for than an expensive piece of electrical equipment.
The following week there were only about three customers from the original group who went back to visit the store. The people with clipboards were still visiting another store apparently, and the free promotional item was a bottle of water.
After waiting a very long time at customer services, the customers produced their vouchers for exchange only to be told that they couldn't be exchanged for shopping vouchers anymore. The supermarket had now decided to start charging customers to park outside, so they were exchanging vouchers for temporary parking permits instead.
The following week the only person standing at the entrance to the store with the clipboard was the store Manager. He was trying to figure out why nobody came to the store anymore and why the shareholders were so angry.
The moral of this story is if something seems to be that if something seems too good to be true it probably is. And supermarkets never love their customers as much as they say they do.0 -

Thank to all those who have voted for my 'The Not So Super Supermarket' op. You figured it was about T&V and not a supermarket at all, right? How that got past their censor I'll never know. They obviously don't read them........
If you've voted and can let me know who you are, I will return the favour and give you votes on all your ops if I haven't already. If I've already voted on your ops, maybe you've written some new ones since last time. Can't say fairer than that........??:beer:0 -

Spanish. How strange!!
Given the number of T&V surveys I don't qualify for I'd love to receive the bad news in a foreign language. As I speak spanish it would make the constant rejection that much more bearable!0 -
