Hi there,
I have a Gericom laptop about 2.5 years old I got is from ALDI it is Gericom smart-power. The problem is that when I turn it on, it works fine for 1 or 2 minutes then some streaks start appearing on the screen and then the screen freezes and no button works. I have re-installed the windows XP from the disc but the problem persists.
But the laptop works fine in the safe mode.
I have tried and followed the instructions given in windows trouble shooting as much as I could understand but to no vail.
Kindly help me finding any solution.
Thanks

Sounds like a hardware fault to me
Saw similar on an old Olivetti machine a few weeks back0 -
It's a hardware fault, either the screen / screen controller or perhaps the connecting cable.
Either way its unlikely that it'll be an easy fix as parts arn't easy to come by, sell it on ebay with an honest description & full list of the problems.0
