When I was a school a friend was eating a salad prepared by the school kitchens. All of a sudden she jumped up with the hand over her mouth and flew to the loo's. There was a half eaten worm wriggling on the plate.
she brought sandwiches after that.
i dont know about fishermen freezing them but my dh use to put them in the fridge as the cooler temp would slow them down0 -
I have a 7 year old DD with an irrational fear of anything insect like especially things that fly, all of that is down to my over dramatic OH, every year I tell her not to be so dam dramatic never listens and naturally the kids pick up on it, oh if mummy is scared then I should be............. women..................

The only living things which will exist after a nuclear war are the cockroaches. Half an hour in a cooker is nothing to a cockroach. It was probably a cockroach.0

Awww I really feel for your daughter, I agree though that it is probably maggots.
Reminded me of when I was working in an italian deli and a lady came in looking around. She pointed to one of the meats and said "oooh is that meant to be like that?" I turned it round and there was maggots in the cured meat under the clingfilm where it had been sliced - thank god she didn't realise and I hate to think if anyone ate the meat that may have had them in!!!
Sounds exactly like your sausage roll incident, it was really disgusting, I'm really careful when leaving anything out for fear of it happening to me.0
