Deposit Reclaim Issues

Hi,
I have never posted on this board before, and everyone else on the forum is so kind that I thought I'd see if anyone could give me some advice.
I am a student and have just vacated a student property. There were 4 tenants, 3 have remained in the property and I have moved out.
I have lived there for 3 years in total, last year another tenant moved out (tenant X say) and was replaced.
I contacted the landlord to claim my deposit back and have had £30 deducted from it. This is due to a false report of a faulty shower (when reported it didn't work but by the time the plumber came it was working again- a mystery) I have no problems with paying some of the costs for this.
Today I have found out that it is only me that is having the total plumber call out costs deducted from my deposit- everyone else's deposits are being kept intact. I think this is completely unfair as it was a household matter in a communal area.
Their response to this matter is that since this bill was issued when tenant X was living there and since they have moved out it would be difficult to amend this at this time. They then go on to imply that I have to chase the other tenants for the money.
I know it is only a small amount (I am a student!) but I just feel so angry that I have been made a scapegoat for these costs. I am going to contact Student Services for some advice but just wondered what anyone on here thought about this matter.
Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance,
Emma

Have you written to the landlord asking why you are the only person who has been charged?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I emailed the letting agent and they think its probably because I was the one that rang about the faulty shower. I phoned on behalf of the house and the issue was in a communal area so I think the charge should have been split between us all.
Thanks for your reply.0
