Cancelling Virgin Active Membership

Im a member of Virgin Active and have a 12 month contract with them which started in January. I need to cancel as i am moving area and will not be near one of their gyms. They say i can't any ideas how i can? No point me paying £79 a month for something im not going to use is there!

There tends to be some kind of terms regarding cancellation fees.
Than the next thing would be to ask the gym for a copy of your contract, ie, to prove that they have one with your signature on. A lot of companies misplace consumer contracts, which makes payment unenforceable.0
