Student lap top insurance

I am going to uni in a few weeks time. My parents home contents provides good cover for general possessions but for my laptop it only covers a laptop if signs of forced and violent entry or if not left unattended when outside.
I note that Endsleigh provide more "open" cover for theft, accidental loss or damage for £11 per £100 value (inside and out). Can anybody recommend a better quote for such open cover ?

I've been looking for the same sort of thing - the only insurer that looks worth using is Endsleigh, though I would be interested if anyone has any other ideas/suggestions?0

£11 ?!?!?!? I thought Endsleigh did it for £6 for every £100 or are you just not in halls in one of the expensive areas? When I buy my laptop i get the first year free "fully comp" insurance, so i have to start worrying after than!0
