I am about to claim CB for a second child in the house.Does each child have it's own child benefit number or is it just one per household?

Thanks.

    One number per household.

One CHB number per current claim, not household.
For example, when parents split up and each have some kids, there would be a separate claim per parent, and a separate CHB number for each claim.
