Leaving TT, must I go back to BT?

I have been with Talk Talk for 2 and half years. I have problems with BB connections and want to leave TT. It seems that I have my line tied to TT. I contacted Post Office and they want £110 to connect me with BT line.
Is there any way to move back to a BT line without paying that sum and being tied to BT for 18 months?
Thanks.

Yes. 0800 800 150 and ask for a return to donor reconnection to BT. You will be tied to a 12 month contract for line rental.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Just spoke with BT c/s and informed he had never heard of 'return to donor reconnection to BT'. Anyway, the line rental quoted was £12.79 plus call package.
Now to look at BB deals.0 -

And reduce it further by paying a year in advance £113.88, making it £9.49 PM
