i hope this helps there is a charity called RL Glasspool charity Trust theywould need you to be referred by a health worker , support worker . There is an application form that would require filling in with a referral letter explaining what the money is for.
there is alsoanother charity that has( heinz )in the title sorry i can't remember the full name , you can also try appling for a community care grant if youare on benefits that can help withtravel and hotel costs none of the above will require you to pay them back0 -

i have found a link here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/Caringforsomeone/DG_100189212 esa medicals passed successfully (support group - it can be done!!)!! :j0 -
I suspect hospital will have a social worker who I am sure will be able to either pull a few strings or point you in the right direction. It has to be worth a phone call. Good luck.0

I suspect that wouldn't cover the OP's situation, but is more directed to being allowed to spend the night in a chair next to a seriously ill or dying patient.Facilities for visitors
Accommodation for relatives and carers
Seriously ill patients may be visited at any time and we can sometimes arrange for close relatives to stay overnight. Please ask the nurse in charge about this.
Not to say that the OP's partner wouldn't be allowed to stay, but if they are, I'm guessing it will be in a chair ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

i have heard of hospitals providing beds for carers/partners before, funnily enough
probably only for exeptional cases though, there probably arent many to go around.. hospital beds are already limited2 esa medicals passed successfully (support group - it can be done!!)!! :j0 -

The hospital where I worked had a relatives room which had beds, kettle etc in it but there was only one for the entire hospital and only was only used for relatives of patients who were critically ill (i.e dying)
Also you could ask the patient liasion people at the hospital OP if there are any cheap B&Bs nearby that they recommend. The reason I am saying that is that is another hospital I worked in had a deal on with a local B&B when relatives came from far away for patients and they got a cheaper rate and were extremely well looked after (It was in a tourist area so sometimes people took ill and relatives had to come from far, far away).
Hope this helps even a little0 -
Firstly best wishes and really hope that this will be a turning point for you. You can apply for travel costs as you are on income based benefits trying to remember the code on the form poss hc11 but any hospital, jobcentre or GP's should stock them . You can also argue that due to your disabilities you cannot make the journey or the stay on your own. Apply for a community care grant under the rule of if you did not have the financial help that you require you could end up in hospital,nursing/residential home or prison please excuse prison its just all one blurb! Obviously you are going to hospital but put the concern into the decision makers hands that it would be of serious health concequence to you if you could not afford to go with your partner for the opp . (community care grant you dont pay back)If that fails you can apply for a budgeting loan which unless you are maxed out with DWP loans ( Im not suggesting you are though
) are much easier to get as you do have to pay this back at an agreed staggered payment off ur benefits. I'd also go to the library as there is a book in there called the red book or caff book all libraries supposed to have them they are a concise guide to all health/disabilities groups even if they only have the childrens version still worth checking with the charity that fits your disability as they will prob know of an adult equiv, also your local social services may help or poss point you in correct path.
Best wishes to you K x
