    I might:
Go for a walk to nearest Tescos - think it's 3 miles there and 3 back...but have bus pass just in case

    I need to:
    Check quidco
    Check onepoll
    Check surveys

    Hi everyone

I'm going to get back on the DFW bus (again) today :o Was working out of the office yesterday, which meant that I couldn't take lunch with me and ended up buying breakfast (was running for early train) and a drink and a packet of crisps too. :naughty:

Guess today is another day (even though I feel like I need another month!) so here is what I'm doing:
    - Trying not to get upset about the flat
    - Tidying the flat and remembering what I like about it
    - PAD
    - Put some coins in the jar
    - Quick shower
    - Free cuppa
    - Made a sandwich for work
    - No snacking!
    - NSD #3???
    - Procure a large envelope ;)
    - Text friend not phone
    - Read my book (free hobby!)
    - Update diary thread
    - Decided to hold out for payday before getting my hair cut

Have found a new yoga class, which is on tonight but don't think I will go - is £8. Might do some myself - have a code for a free online class for a week. PM me if any of you want a code to try it for a week - I have 2 spare (if I can find them) :)
  • Hi everyone, I am back!!!

Well i have been racking my useless hormonal brain today and have decided that I need to start somewhere. Its going to be hard but you can all do it so, so can I!

Hope hospital is ok Milly and the rest of you hope you have a great day!

I have checked my mobile minutes and I am all out, actually gone over! Not very money saving! Have free texts so will have to use those! Need to find out when i get my new allowance and for next months bill keep it to the £25 it should be!!!

Have got to go and see the midwife so will need to use the car, but i am technically going to save some money as I will do the town run also as need to get a couple of bits.

Started to sort some more bits out for ebay listing. Want to get as much as I can sorted out whilst sorting out babies room/hallway/cupboards then its one less thing to worry about.. will need to just list list list!

Dinner from freezer/cupboard - am on a clear out the cupboards mission... think its a form of nesting. We have had so much in them for ages and dates are getting a bit close to the mark so thought its a good time to have a clear out!

Need to check the bank - so not looking forward to that - its bad this month! Very bad!

I think thats it for now... need to go out so ill go and do that as will take me ages! x
    Clutter clearout - 12 bags
Avon sales actual earnings - £0
    Ebay £ withdrawn (from dec 10) - £203.45
Be very positive about life and the achievements I want this year! :j I will succeed.

    Bl00dy hospital:mad::mad:
I was there half an hour early so sat with my book...then get told they had a problem with the registrar not turning up so the appointments running an hour late....ok, I wait. I go in exactly an hour after my app time, and I'm in about....ooooh 2minutes?! My surgeon has retired, so saw some chap standing in, he looked at my scar - that looks fine, you look well...bye bye!!!
What a complete waste of my morning....not to mention bus fare, money for coffee!!!

So I'm home and have bought a maple pecan danish to cheer me up...and making a cheese toasted sarnie.

    Waste of time!!!!!!!!!!
I really need to sort out a new signature!

I'm still around folks but a tad chaotic and crazee so last week I spent buying mad handbags off ebay (that I'm now trying to sell back on ebay)

Only bit of DFW small things from today and yesterday (life is really odd right now) is that

    * Me and chum had a girlie espresso (free near enough) with new £300 espresso machine gotten from work last week for zero. :money:

    * Sold one handbag on ebay yesterday and have 3 more up...more to put up today dv....

Have hospital re infected (methinks) big burn on thigh this pm and it's raining :P today...

Also got rid of fridge @ weekend and got new fridge freezer (in part with cashback from mobile from e2save) from thrift store...is perfect.. :) Now need to get rid of freezer...

Applied for a part time job last week too and am signing up for New Deal for Disabled ppl.

So despite the chaos there's little rays of sunshine....:)

Still need to pay tithe asap....and of course do housework (revelation to keep house okay only 4 things you need to do :- ironing; laundry; hoovering and like wash and sweep kitchen floor (already put trash out and do washing up) and the rest will follow :T....took me 2 months to realise that!!!)

    Hi everyone! :hello:

What a miserable day today, I feel like I went to bad last night and woke up in November this morning! Grrrr. Oh well. I am hoping today will be an NSD. I have topped up my Oyster card already, so no spend needed there.

Last night I did the shopping in A$da (I resisted the H0bnobs, Unsavy! Yay!! :j) Got loads of good bargains and only spent £30 in the end. Managed to get some reduced mince which went out of date today - so last night while I was making tea I also made a big pot of spaghetti bolognese at the same time and bunged it in the freezer afterwards - felt v smug! Felt additionally smug because as I said yesterday we managed to sell our wardrobe and someone came round to collect it last night and the money from that paid for the groceries with £10 left over! Result! :T

Today I have sent off my letter [STRIKE]demanding [/STRIKE][STRIKE]requesting[/STRIKE] hoping for my credit card charges back from C4pital 1....fingers crossed please DFWs! I've also applied to switch our gas and electricity to another supplier - following the MSE tips of course! So we'll hear about that in a few days hopefully.

I have to go to the doctor, well, the nurse this afternoon for a test, not looking forward to it, but has to be done :(

That's annoying about the hospital, Milly! Hope the danish has cheered you up - even better than a H0bnob!

Erme - hope you have better luck in the hospital than Milly, fingers crossed they sort the burn out for you quickly and painlessly!

Nowpanicking and OliveOyl - I think I better check out these PJs too! They sound a great idea for a pressie :)

    Have a good afternoon everyone

    Jo :)

  • Afternoon everyone:j

Had a really productive morning. Given I woke up and didn't feel like doing anything. Friend rang and offered a lift to allotment, I said we would do it tomorrow, but rang her back quickly and said ok today, so really glad I did. I have brought home two rows of onions for drying, broccoli, beans and rhubarb, gave my friend raspberries, a courgette, some broc, lettuce and spinache, so she was a happy girl, we went for a coffee at the fishing lake and she took me to sainsburys so I could get ds some gluten free bits.:D

    Bedroom tidy
    Dishwasher loaded
Washing going on airer as weather is a bit unpredictable
    Need to check online banking
Will lay onions out on decking to dry
looking for a recipe for kofte for dinner
need to do shopping list to last until payday (1 week)
    photocopying and postage to do

Will do some baking this evening if I get some time:D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
  • Checked banks, checked payplan, had a 40 minute talk through with them, no real news on the DMP, but got a big sales pitch at the end re. lifecover, home breakdown cover, car breakdown cover, which I felt was only going to divert funds away from my creditors.

Paid into my new bank account £200 from £260 I got from selling my now unusd chicken house, so bank balance has gone in the right direction today, for once !

Still, not a total spend free day, had to nip into Tescos for a couple of bits, but it came out of my pocket money, and was only £6.00 for food for tea, as we have 5 to feed tonight, self, wife, 2 daughters home from University and 1 of their boyfriends ! Spag. Bol., salad and garlic bread tonight, cheap enough to make, and filling enough to satisfy, which is the way of our World for the forseabble future.

    Onwards and upwards !

:T:THey folks, my day off today :j slept till lunchtime thanks to half bottle of wine last night :o Trying to chill a bit as I realised I have no capacity to deal with other peoples problems and they are starting to burn me out.
Also feeling a little more comfortable job wise , with yesterdays announcements I think the managers are going to be very busy finding jobs for themselves and the rest of the boys and just maybe they will leave us grafters alone.

So far today I have :
    • Rung samsung about faulty laptop - it is out of warranty but they have agreed to collect it and repair it for free :T
    • Rung re faulty battery for old laptop to find out when they are sending the replacement - battery recall in April
    • Recieved new battery for blackberry - again got from warranty
    • Recieved bargain Lindemans wine
    • Recieved items from debenhams sale and put away for pressies -but I love them and want them for myself :o
    • Done some surveys and requested £15 paypal payment
    • Checked banks and shuffled money - not great this month
    • Sold a small item on Ebid
    • Check paypal / quidco/topcashback
    • Rang HSBC to see if they would reduce shocking interest rate - No , not to worry its at zero balance and I will reduce credit limit with a view to cancelling card in future.
    • Done some comps
    • HC x 1
    • Food from stores
phew ...and still to do :
    • Go online to HSBC and reduce credit limit - done
    • Start PPI claim for HSBC credit card
    • Pay debenhams store card and balance transfer rest to 0% card
    • Ring other credit card accounts I have to see if I can get an interest free period - cancel card if not.-2 cards cancelled
    • Post ebid item - will fit in post box so ust need a little walk now its stoped raining - ok , thunder , lightening and heavy rain ! This can wait.
    • put train tickets on freegle again after person failed to collect-they need using friday.
    • more surveys
    • more comps
    • NSD
    Phew .....

Really loving doing the comps , keeps me occupied so i don't wander round the shops spending. And have got some nice treats , other day I got some Newman sauces and letter says I have also got a giant garden toy coming - sort of a jenga. This is great , would never have bought it myself but I can see it will be lots of fun :T
