Wed 14th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Gooooood morning:D
Another wet day here, I'm missing the sun! Off for my post-op appointment at the hospital this morning so no NSD - need to spend on the park and ride bus and may take money for a cuppa while I'm there as the bus gets me in early!
Apart from that nothing else on. My Next VIP sale slot is at 7pm tonight - hoooray! Have a list of tops I want to order....am so excited, they've neevr given me a slot before:T
Ok, list:
PS Good news on my complicated Uni situation - been having another crisis re the amount of work...tutor spoke to someone yesterday and I can carry one unit over to the next year anyway...maybe even one more - just need evidence of my op for the 2nd carry-over. So, it eases the pressure a bit. Off to Uni on Friday for tutor to help me;) *relieved*:rotfl:
Have a lovely wednesday:p

Morning all,
Another rainy day here, feel very lethargic and slow...
Here is my list:-
- Ran WM over night
- Hang HC on airer to dry tonight
- Snacks and lunch from stores
- Meal from stores, prob jacket potato and some left over stuff
- Check banking
- Check CC's for new bills coming, paid one yesterday 92p! :rotfl:
- Update spreadsheet
- Didn't bring any money in today as nothing is needed!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Woohoo - got an unexpected day off today. It's my normal "10th day" where I normally look after DGD but she's still on holiday in North Wales. How come a 2 year old has a better social life than Grandma???
So far today I have:- got up stupidly early as I don't sleep later than 6.00 these days
- run WM on cheap-rate electricity
- checked banking - final PPI payment still hasn't gone in and I've been at work 6 weeks
- checked for surveys
- make jam from raspberries and redcurrants which were given to me by various people
- try to tidy and weed the garden
- dodge the showers and spend as much time at the allotment as possible
- blitz the house as DH has done nothing since I've been back at work:mad:
- make bread
- all meals from mealplan/stores
- have an NSD as not going out

- check e-mails for surveys
- check onepoll
- check out £5 la senza pyjamas - just noticed them on this weeks money saving tips (could be good xmas pressies)
- start list of possible presents agains people for Christmas
Have a great day everyone

morning all.....lots of spending going on today!!
I feel v flush after my freecycle success yesterday. 10 slabs collected, another 10 tonight and bricks tomorrow.
SO tired this morning, lots of weird sleeps starting to get me down a bit. Really miserable weather outside although sure plants think its just grand.
- no spend day if poss. sarnies in work fridge left over from yesterday, crisps in drawer and chocolate in bag
- free cinema screening tonight - Inception. Really looking forward to this one
- check the normal banking. Anyone know how long it takes for a BOS cheque to clear in a BOS account?
- collect slabs
Thats it, dont want to do too much.
Millie hope the appointment goes wellDFW 228 LONG H 68

Morning All :hello: from sunny and cold SA :rotfl:
Can I make a suggestion Milliechops? If you take stuff out of the freezer 24-36 hours before you need it and defrost it in the fridge then it reduces the running cost of the fridge, :money: AND if you forget you still can do it faster out of the fridge without resorting to the microwave? This tip came with my fridge many years ago, and has saved me so much "oops I forgot to defrost" panics since :rotfl:
So today I have/will:
washed towels which will be line dried - and I hate fabric softener on my towels so I save there too :rotfl:
out to lunch so not a NSD, but good for my social life
supper from meal plan - I'll probably not want to eat either, so huge portion for Popeye :rotfl: or a portion in the freezer......;)
Read Martins e-mail - debating whether to buy jimjams as pressies......
must buy some more firewood
book hotels for next week, get a ZA sticker for the car, plan how to entertain myself while Popeye is at the conference.....
:D
Have a great day everyone :A0 -

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
