The reason I ignore - is that I am fed up with Idiots who just click and buy policies without reading the T&C's and when things go "pear shaped" they then blame everyone else for their own shortcommings and I do not want to participate trying to tell people that it is their fault when they don't want to hear it. As most people with ash problems fall into this category - I chose not to post further on ANY ash related posting.
I do not HAVE to post on ANY thread - If missile wants to ask - I am sure he/she will and I would be pleased to assist if I can,
Also as I am US based and most of these are European destinations that iI have no exerience in - you will see that I do not comment on any thread that is not US/Florida based.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

So why continue to push them at every opportunity?
Because (and I think I've said this it seems a million times but you fail to listen/read as usual) IT IS IN MY OPINION & EXPERIENCE in Florida that they are the best.
Can I suggest you come up with a recommended insurer if you know one better???
Instead of bad mouthing my recommendations ALL THE TIME - be of use to the posters here and suggest an alternative!!!
No??? you probably cannot because there is not many that can match Fortis for their claims service in Florida!
or perhaps
You just don't know what you are talking about and therefore don't know an alternative decent insurer.
or
You are frightened to put your "money where your mouth is"?
Come on Quentin - do the right thing and Prove me wrong, not just throw accusations.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

Thing is, it was you who posted the (wrong) advice to us to use Fortis and get ash cover! (Though you now say it isn't relevant, maybe because Fortis actually don't cover it at all!)Fortis (mainly available as Post Office Insurance) is my personal recommendation....... An excellent company.
They are not the cheapest but they were first to announce that they are covering the Ash delays .............0 -

There you go again!
In fact you have told us that you recommend them based on your experience as a debt collector in Florida - because they pay their hospital bills on time!Fortis is my personal recommendation from my view as a biller and getting IC's to pay they are second to none.
If you check the Which? guide to the best travel insurers you won't see Fortis mentioned! (Though their recommendations are based on a lot more than how long it takes them to pay hospital bills!)

If that is the case (again repeating myself) it is up to the reader to make their own mind up not for me, you or any other poster to tell them what to do.
If someone reads my opinion (look there's that word again) based on MY experiences (oh! I've heard that somwhere before too) and then buys a policy without checking that it has ALL the cover they require the MORE FOOL THEM!
Again people being too lazy to read the T&C's and then try to blame others for THEIR own ignorance!
Geez, these people (like some others) STILL dont read anything and "assume' - Do you really expect me to "hold the hands" of you and everyone else becaues they insist on "buying blindly"?
I'll emphasize this.......
If ANYONE reading this, or any other advice on MSE, or any other website, and thinks that what is posted is correct 100% of the time and that EVERY poster is ALWAYS right, and then pays money based on what they have read in a forum, and not what is in the T&C's of the service or product they are buying and signs (or "clicks" the accept button) WITHOUT READING WHAT THEY ARE "SIGNING" well they actually deserve to loose money - BUYER BEWARE!C. Now you are just repeating...........
Which recommends AXA on that site too - Remember
And Which are ALWAYS right?
That list does not show about a million other insurers either!
The criterior for their reciommendations are different to mine and I admit (AGAIN) that MY OPINION is based on MY EXPERIENCES and I am not going to repeat mysel over and over again to you.
Grow up Quentin, agree to disagree, whatever just stop!C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

And, of course your posts are always right? Min are only wrong IN YOUR OPINION!!!!
My case rests!
How rude of you to assume that the OP is too nieve, or not intelegent enough or cannot make their own mind up or whatever. I am sure if I accused you of that - you'd go balistic - but that's the doulble standards that you practice is'nt it? You assume others are idiots and dum as the brown stuff, but goodness help anyone who dares to question YOUR opinion!
The only reason I continue is because you are digging yourself into a bigger hole showing your own ignorance of others and their intelegence. You have targeted me for a while and you ain't goot long left before I start my new job so enjoy yourself while you can!
I'd like to say it was a pleasure - but I'd be lying!C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

No, it's not my opinion at all.
On a number of occasions you have given answers that are completely factually wrong and could have consequences for anyone following your advice.
Apart from the fortis covers ash (when they didn't) advice, a few more examples:
You advised us that we need to have at least 6 months on our passports to come to USA (we don't),
And that s75 was no use unless the whole purchase was made via the credit card (it isn't).
And advised someone there was no need to send a LBA before embarking on court action (there is a very good reason why you need to)
etc etc. All this bad advice delivered in an authoritative manner, and all requiring others to correct!0
