Looks like a scamming - phishing - attempt to me. Just ignore the emails and under no circumstances click any links in them.
Whether the second email is connected to the first or not hard to know. It's just a warning that someone has tried to hack into your account and as a result has been locked, possibly just temporarily.
Oh and don't send stuff to Nigeria.0 -
These mails are phishing mails, send them all to spoof@paypal.co.uk or spoof@ebay.co.uk as appropriate.
The fact that you are getting a lot rather suggests that you may have followed a link in one of them at some point, thus notifiying the scammers that they have a live email account.

it seems strange that someone in Nigeria would have the email address ritajohnson****@yahoo.com did the person who emailed you saying their account had been hijacked write in good english? perhaps someone has hijacked their account.
edit: i ask if they wrote in good english because the message that came with the paypal emailSubject:

Really? Don't click on any of the links in any of the e-mails. All messages sent through ebay will show in your ebay my messages. If you can get into your ebay account check them there.
If you can't (because it's locked) you'll have to get in touch with ebay to try and resolve the issue. In the meantime DON'T reply to any of the e-mails.
Even if a payment does appear in your paypal account, it sounds like fraud, so simply refund it an take no further part in the transaction. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
hi the person who sent me an e-mail asking for there money back ha had there ebay account hijacked ebay have sent me an email saying that they are trying to sort the problem out and i can claim a refund for the cost of the auction if i so wish.
I am still confused though because i can gain access to my ebay account but if i try to sell anything i am asked to enetr credit card details as i have reached my limit. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
i sold some tesco vouchers about a week ago and stated on the auction that the buyer needs to ensure they can exchange them for the deals they want as my details will be on some of them and just had this
Q: Hello, Thank you for the vouchers, unfortunately tesco will not exchange vouchers for anyone other than the account holder, which is why when purchased i requested the deal i needed them changed into.I did apply to tesco to try to get the deals, however they just took them away and put them back into the account from which they actually originally came. Do you think you could either get me the deal vouchers requested or send me a full refund. Thanking you, Sharon Do you think you would be able to do this for me.
on buyng the vouchers they did not state they wanted me to change them into a deal for them plus i would not have done this anyway as i have to much to worry about. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -

This is normal to make sure sellers are genuine (ahem).on buyng the vouchers they did not state they wanted me to change them into a deal for them plus i would not have done this anyway as i have to much to worry about.
This is normal as well. Tesco will only convert them into deals for the original recipient. This is fairly straightforward online for most deals. If you can't be bothered to sort it I think you should refund the buyer.0 -
even though i stated they had to sort it out themselfs?
i cant change them now as i dont have the codes from the vouchers.
Do i get the vouchers back then change them for the buyer even though i stated it was down to them as it is not all deals they cannot change them to. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
The fact of the matter is that the Clubcard vouchers can only be converted to deals by the original recipient. Most ebay sales of these vouchers state that the buyer should tell them the deal they want at which point the seller applies for the deal, receives deal vouchers and then sends them to the buyer.
If you were unaware of this that's fair enough but I would think a refund is in order.
Somebody doing this when they were aware of the situation would be scamming IMHO.0
