I am looking at getting a refurbished laptop (about 14" for around £100-<150) and there seem to be quite a lot of ex. company examples of the above available, Is there much difference between the two makes? as similar spec's seem to be going for similar prices?
Thanks

I'd say either would be fine. Thinkpads have a good reputation for being long lasting although they're not always the most stylish machines. But the company I work for buys thousands of Latitudes and we have very few issues. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

IBM Thinkpad T42 or Dell Latitude D610. I sell loads of both. The Dell is more asthetically pleasing but both are about the same spec. You should be able to find them still with good batteries - every one I sell has a battery lasting at least 2 hrs.
As a guide for price, I'm currently doing Dell D610's with 30GB HDD, 2GB RAM for £140 and in nearly mint condition.
I'd sell you one but forum rules prohibit me from advertising
