Ok, so they are not the people I found before, and they do have a website at www dot bentleycooper dot co dot uk... where they say "Bentley Cooper are a finance broker working directly with a wide panel of lenders and financial companies." - so they are a broker!0
-
The also say "Why we charge In some cases we may ask for a brokerage fee to arrange a loan for you. This allows us to place you with the best possible lender without having to solely rely on commissions from our panel of lenders. We will only accept a brokerage fee if we have matched your details in principal to one or more of our lenders criteria. It is important that you are completely truthful and have not falsified any information when you make your loan application as the lender reserves the right to make the final decision. For more details about our terms and conditions please refer to the reverse of our proposal agreement from and any other official paperwork." I'm sure they mean "principle" rather than "principal". So they'll take your money if they think one of the lenders will accept you - but tough if they don't?0

Sorry, you won't want to hear this, but on the Daily Mirror Investigates column I found this ............................. Can you trust Bentley Cooper for a loan? By Andrew Penman on June 24, 2010 12:03 PM in According to its website, Bentley Cooper of Stockport is a "leading financial solution centres". To translate, they might get you a loan. The site adds that in "some cases" they may ask for a brokerage fee: "This allows us to place you with the best possible lender." Just so you know, https://www.bentleycooper.co.uk is registered to NIZ Financial (UK) Ltd, whose director is Noman Nasrullah of south Manchester. Along with brothers Irfan and Zeeshun, plus Firoz Nadim, they ran a string of loan companies including theloansupermarket.co.uk that have just been shut down by the government. As we revealed here, around 10,000 of their customers paid a "brokerage fee", just 71 got a loan. We asked Noman Nasrullah why anyone should trust Bentley Cooper, given his track record, but heard nothing back.0

Hello
Well I would not class myself a a rude or nasty person but thats what the "nice gentleman" from BC Loans called me or Bentley Cooper as I have now found out.
He called me as promised thinking I would be going through with the loan and when I said no chance he asked why so I told him that I had been advised that they as a company take the £50 telling you that you have the loan then contact you to say you have been unsuccessful but they do do debt management plans and will use your £50 to fund that all the while saying now is the time to consider going bankrupt or going on a dmp.
They don't do refunds either apparently. He didn't deny it and said how dare I (How dare I what?) and they were an honest company. So I asked if they were so honest why would it have been up to me to contact the lender and what would I have been paying them for, he said the paperwork to which I replied that that was bloody expensive paper. He put phone down on me (oh dear
