At nearly 3 quid for a tiny loaf, utter madness......I buy as an occasional treat ....I stocked up from approved food, they currently have 6 loaves for 99p, out of date and only really good for toast....but i'm wheat intollerant, my sons coeliac and my other son is waiting for his results but blood test showed signs of...its a dear do....and still not sorted out with prescriptions yet as my son also has colitis and has been poorly for months.....thankfully on the mend now, been a nightmare.pinkfunkyflares wrote: »Yes Genius is genius, even my wheat eating friends are converting, how mad is that?Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -

When you get sorted with presciptions I can recommend Juvela Fresh gluten free white bread, available on prescription for Coeliacs. You have to order 8 loaves at a time but it freezes well and lasts for ages. It's a long time since I've had 'normal' bread but from what I remember it tasted like this!!:rotfl:0 -

I'll go and have a look in M and S today, the problem is though I'll end up buying one of their chocolate and black cherry gluten free cakes as well. :A
I buy Genius bread, but am a little worried as I'm getting very fatigued and achey again, and several people on the various coeliac boards have reported the same. The bread does have some gluten in it but whilst it would not be considered suitable for coeliacs overseas in the uK gluten free can still contain a tiny amount of gluten to qualify, so it might be that. It is gorgeous though and all these new generation breads are so much better than the cardboard stuff we used to get .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You can also get Lifestyle bakery's brown sliced bread on prescription, which I think is really good. It's fresh and they deliver to your door after your GP has ordered it.Hope is not a strategy.0

Hi, I wasn't aware of that - I am a coeliac who is very sensitive to even a tiny bit of wheat or gluten and i cannot tolerate alot of stuff that most coeliacs seem to be able to tolerate, I get very anaemic and fatigued
I'll be giving Genius bread a miss from now on then, only ever bought it occasionally anyway.
Thanks for that - and thanks to OP, will have a look at the M&S bread
