Just heard that Pipex/Homecall has bought Toucan and Bulldog.(Link to follow)
Surely the idea of deregulating the Telecom Market was to give people my choice.
This is now been eroded even further by these mergers.
I wonder what their merged customer services will be like.:eek:

Not strictly true to say that Pipex have acquired Bulldog lock stock & barrel...Register hasn't told absolutely the whole story.
The situation as I understand it is that C&W have sold Pipex the existing Bulldog customer base, and the rights to the brand etc. However, the (ex)Bulldog LLU network itself remains with C&W, now as an internal division of C&W. Additionally, Pipex have bought LLU services utilising this network from C&W going forward...although this gets a mention in the article, it does so only as a footnote when in reality it's probably more significant as it gives them just about the largest LLU footprint.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0
