What do you/don't you recommend from Poundland?

Being OS loads of you must shop there so I want to know your recommendations! I have tried the kitchen towel which is fine, the loo roll though I found too thin and won't buy again. I buy my Timotei shampoo there which I love, and they have Morning Fresh washing-up liquid which is very good. Anyone tried any of the other cleaning products they stock? I saw they did Kilner type jars but wasn't sure if they looks like the seal would be good enough - has anyone tried them?

Unless supermarkets have good deals, I think Poundland are good for teabags. eg, Tetley 100's for £1. I try and get a deal that equates to 1p per teabag or less, so 100 for £1 is good in my opinion. (Everyone has their own product they won't drop a brand on and for me its teabags lol.)#39 - Save £12k in 20250

I only buy the morning fresh from there when its on 2 x 500ml bottles for a £1 as recently they have changed to £2 for 3 bottles. Alternatively i pick them up in Home bargains as they are 79p for 750ml. Also get the Radox bubble bath when its not on offer in the supermarkets. Arm and Hammer tooth paste when no stock in Home bargains. Deep relief ibuprofen gel as its £4.39 in Sainsburys. Also keep eyes open for the Air wick scented candles as these are often priced at £1.50+ in Home bargains.
Very rare there will be something in store i wont buy unless i look at i know i can get it cheaper else where.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

The sugar in poundland is a 1.5 kg bag so much better value than most supermarkets which are only 1 kg. I buy the colgate 2 in 1 toothpaste there - often over £2 in other shops.
Mini cheddars - have been getting bags of 12 just lately ( I think I have an adiction!!)
I also get my milk at ours (though I don't think all of them have fridges.)
Poundlands do vary though - our local one on the nearby council estate is bigger and has a better selection of everything than the one in the town centre.0 -

The kilner jars are fine - air and water tight - I did check before using.
It's only a game

Yes, but farmfoods is miles away and poundland isn't, also it would cost more to park than it would to buy the milk and sugar:)0 -
Those nasal sprays you get for blocked nose. Like Vicks Sinex only much cheaper (obviously, lol).Ellie

Be careful with those- its easy to become reliant on them. I found after 6 weeks I was having to use one 3 times a day, I went to the pharmacist who told me I had become reliant on them (she used the term 'addicted') as your body becomes lazy and stops doing the work the spray does.
I ended up in fit of breathless despair reading up on how to withdraw and found the best advice was to withdraw (and I quote:) One nostrel at a time:rotfl: (Proper LOL'd at it when reading but the advice holds true!)0 -
Poundland is my first port of call in early Spring, when shopping for seeds, bulbs, shrubs, seed potatoes, etc. Their prices can't be beaten and I have had great success with everything I have bought there. This summer I have been picking blackcurrants from a bush bought there 2 years ago and my DD has had a mountain of Tayberries from a bush she bought at the same time. Nearly all my flowering plants are from bulbs and tubers bought there over the past few years."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
