Ford Focus Major Service
Hi guys,
Hoping to pick a few mechanically-minded brains please :-)
My 05 Ford Focus is coming up to 40K at the moment, with a service due next month. I bought it from a dealer 2 years ago at 17K miles and it only had a Ford Value service last year, so I think I need to do a major one this time. Plus, I understand the 40K service is a bit of a milestone one?
I've narrowed down the following to be changed: Engine oil & filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, pollen filter, AC coolant. Do I need to do the HT leads and cambelt too?
I also had to change the power steering pump and cable in December. No idea how that went so early! (£450! Ouch!)
From my googling, it appears I may need to do some maintenance with the suspension? Or struts? I get a sharp noise like a ball deflating every time I go over bumps on my front tyres (they're not deflating, I checked).
Sorry for all the queries, would really value some input before I go to the mechanic. I don't really know a good one, so don't want to get done for when I turn up!
Many thanks!!
James.

Every third service is a major one.
Here is the service schedule direct from horses mouth. Just put in your vehicle details and it'll list the services and what is included:
