I am being made redundant from a part time job in an Estate Agents because I am pregnant, (although they havent said that in so many words of course), i donththink they are going to offer me any redundancy money, I am a complete coward how do i go about asking for it, I have worked there for 3 years, working every other weekend.

First of all, pregnant women are the most protected group in employment law. It's totally unlawful to dismiss someone for reason of their pregnancy. Do you want to do anything about this i.e. grievance then tribunal claim?

Have they told you you are being made redundant? If so, you are at least entitled to statutory redundancy pay (one week's salary for every full year's service). You might be entitled to more if there is a contractual redundancy scheme.

    Give ACAS a call:

They should give you some basic advice and could even contact your employer on your behalf. If you want to get more serious, find a local solicitor who will give you a free hour's consultation. He/she could write a letter on your behalf.
I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.

Can the OP prove this is the reason though is the question.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!

That's irrelevant unless she wants to do something about it. If she just wants to get out with a redundancy payment, then it can be ignored.
