so saying that "I wonder what proportion of that 20 million will be economically inactive... Less than half??" has nothing to do with race has it?

I think you need a calculator, then you'll realise that 2 + 2 doesn't equal 5. Not sure why you chose to imply that I'm racist. As others have posted I didn't mention race and wasn't even considering race in my post. Those economically inactive IMO are just as likely to be white, I should know as I grew up in a northern city with a mostly white population.
I suggest you examine your own prejudices as you took a mighty big assumption from my post, suggesting that you have some subconcious racial issues.

It doesnt have to be that way:
- a "Please Stop at 2" (children) campaign by the Government
- removal of financial "incentives" to have any further children
- a MUCH harsher stance on illegal immigration
- as tough as we possibly can be on other immigration (no - I'm not racist..before anyone leaps in....but Britain is one of the most overpopulated countries in the world - and there ARE others that are still underpopulated). If someone is desperate to leave their own country - then they will be prepared to live somewhere without a Welfare State if need be - because at least they wouldnt be living in their own country any more.

what a great cover up... the original post from the Metro was derived from the same report that was in the Guardian that i linked to. it has everything to do with race and ethnic minorities.

btw i think you're lost being a GP, very lost - you should be an online psychiatrist with your online diagnosis of me having subconcious racial issues. quality :rotfl:
