Not unless the growth in populaton is being driven by responsible people in strong financial positions who are able to buy. Somehow I doubt that's the likely scenario.

Absolutely, I wonder what proportion of that 20 million will be economically inactive... Less than half??
The reality is that people on benefits have children to get priority for housing and young tax-payers have to save until well into their 30's in order to get a house bigger than a shoe box.

apparently not that many... 10 out of 10 for racial stereotyping though...
He added: "At a regional level, ethnic minorities will shift out of deprived inner-city areas to more affluent areas

Do what?.......... the OP doesn't mention race. Don't know why you're trying to be inflammatory.

here's the title of the original and actual article... do you think it has anything to do with race?

You seem to be confusing two pieces, which both use the number 20 - but it doesn't seem wise or reasonable to put words into someone else's mouth.

As for me and my chums... well thanks, that's nice of you. However, as far as I can remember, I have had no previous interaction with DaddyBear. And neither of us have, I believe, made reference to race - only you.

so let me get this right - the 20 million increase in population are all going to be indigenous white British people... i think not...

they're obviously going to be ethnic and of a different race... right or wrong?

so saying that "I wonder what proportion of that 20 million will be economically inactive... Less than half??" has nothing to do with race has it?

it's pretty obvious where daddybear was going with that...

nice straw clutch but the article that the article the OP was talking about i read this morning and it's exactly the same as the Guardian piece... no confusion here fortunately...

They can all move to Scotland.

Plenty of room there I'm told by many Scottish people.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
