we had old beatles records underneath our sundae glasses full of sweets, just flat though - couldn't melt them, they mean too much to us!0
-
the only other thing i thought for coasters was to have something like this which are the centres of records but it would be a pain doing red and white for over a 100

I like the idea of just the centres being the coasters, its nice! Would you not be able to just have the centres as they are? or what about making yourself?
Could just print out on thicker card and do all the design on the computer; red and white stripes to the centre and then maybe your names across the top like the title of the music, and the date underneath.
either way its going to look fab and fit in with your 50's theme! :oD:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Hey
I've made a few of these. I find that the best method is by using 2 pyrex bowls, one slightly bigger than the other!
Melt the record over the smaller bowl (upside down) in the oven, then quickly take it out using oven gloves (try not to burn yourself) and then place the bigger bowl (also upside down) on top of the record which is melted over the smaller bowl. This will give you a much more even and consistent shape.0 -
