Challenge: I want to get married.... for free?

Anyone got any tips for someone who has no money? :rotfl:
I've been engaged for four years now, we have a daughter who's two.. and now he's decided it's the best time to do it.
Unfortunately, it's also the time where we have less than £200!

Does anyone have any tips.. such as getting something free for advertising? I know it's been done before not too far from us. Maybe it's impossible.. I don't know.
I'd love to hear your tips though! :j

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Umm I think you will find that a registrar alone costs £350... you won't get that free or discounted. Ive never heard of anyone getting a freebie for advertising as part of a wedding, but you might find some small local companies who are willing. If someone local to you has done it, suggest you try and get in touch with them for some tips.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

We're having our ceremony photographer and video(graphed??) for FREE! Mainly because we are getting married in a very unique location (top of the sydney harbour bridge) and they want to use us for advertising. They'll use our photos for a huge promotion push including getting a peice on us in the local paper and also for all their promotional stuff.

We get all the photos we want on a disc, they get to use us on their website! Happy days.

Also getting my bodoiur shoot for free as it's a friend who's starting up and again I get it for free if she gets to put me on the website :)

But a priest or minister doesn't! (Although they may expect a donation but you don't have to give it)

A very low key ceremony in a church would be possible
The choir/ organist/flower arranging etc might even been done for free or for a very small donation!

Wedding dress from a charity shop may only be about £50
Also try free cycle - have seen a few on it!

Reception - Barbeque in the park or some small outside function

Also check out the competitions thread if you have not already done so. There are many comps posted from wedding magazines.
    Thank you all who post.
