Can you use an Irish account in UK to get paid?

I know someone who does not have enough ID to open a Basic Bank Account, but has work. She has an Irish account. Can she work IN UK and give her Irish account details to an employer to get paid? Without an account to receive her pay she has been threatened with not getting paid at all for the last 3 weeks. Help! Cheers

She could give her IBAN and BIC, however it will cost the employer money to make the transfer so they'll be unlikely to do this.

I assume she has a passport (if she has been to Ireland recently)? She can phone HMRC and ask for a tax code notice letter - this is free. These two items should be acceptable to open a basic bank account in the UK.
