An alternative option as well...if you use Facebook you can create an album and then send a public link outside of the FB system. It lets non FB users view the pcis, but they get no access to your other details, friends etc - they literally just see the pictures. To send the public link, go to the album in question, and the link is at the bottom of the screen.
