What to expect in a mental health assessment please?

Hi,

I've finally recieved my appointment for my mental health assessment at the hospital for next week and am nervous already :D

Please could someone let me know what to expect. Is it long? is it 1 on 1, Will i get an indication of the outcome there and then?

I just like to know situations beforehand as i work myself up no end if i don't and thats not great for my anxiety :o

Thanks for any help x

my DD is being assessed by CAMHS and if its anything like her appointments the 1st one is a lot of questions further appointments are 1-1 where she s assessed then she is seen by a nurse and then appointment no5 is the diagnosis.

    Hiya,
Is it an assesment by the Community physiactric nurse?
If so its about an hour and a half and they are lovely. They ask you lots of questions and then you go home. They send the report on to your doctors.
