    Morning everyone
Crazychick - having dogs, I understand how hard it is when they are poorly. I'm so glad that your wee dog is getting better.
Sunny morning here. Went out early with the dogs and they are fast asleep now.
HM soup today and then tuna and salad. Have some smoked mackerel so might have both :p.
DD back from T in the Park so I might catch up with her today and find out who all they saw.
Went to SuperDrug yesterday with my 25% off their own products and got 2 tubs body butter, 2 of the new gentle cleansers, 2 complete toothpastes and a bottle of nail varnish remover for just over £8. Really pleased and am stocked up. I used to use the Nivea Visage Q10 cleanser and I think this one is just as good. Nice and creamy.
Ok off out - have a few things to get done today.
have a good day folks. Hope Diva is on the mend and also that PP is out of hospital by now. Think of you both and other MIA peeps often.
    (((hugs)))

    Good morning everyone.

Welcome BLUis, :D HOpe evryone is well, and glad to hear wee dog is doing OK now Crazychik. Redruby, very sensible idea, hope they "click" and have a nice time, aren't we glad not to be fifteen again (well apart from the loss of "pertness" of course ;) :rotfl: Beemuzed hope everything goes well for your boy. X

Didn't feel like posting yesterday, I was really off colour but I am much more like myself today. I have physio at 12, they got me an extra quick super duper speedy appointment because I am off work. I have no complaints about the NHS in my area. OS today I have roasted some veg for lunch and sorted out a mealplan for the week. We did Asda yesterday, and spent a fortune, but I haven't done a shop for 3 weeks, and needed to stock up lots of big purchases, shouldn't need much other than F&V for a couple of weeks anyway. I am taking SIL to the airport this afternoon, she and my gorgeous wee niece are off back to Germany, I haven't seen much of them this visit, so look forward to catching up on the journey. :)

Congrats and Bravo to Souk08 on your new job, you must be delighted! ;):D

Hope everyone has a good day (by the way its lovely up here at long last!)

Afternoon! Good wishes to all. Redruby, this boy already sounds promising with how he didn't mind about what you had said!

Well the doctor's yesterday wasn't half as bad as I'd worried, had been a tiny bit apprehensive about it, and I was allowed to give blood so feel good about that too. Does anyone think it may have been in slightly poor taste of me to be reading a book about vampires while at a blood donation session? :D

Spent a small portion of my World Cup winnings on some treats from Tesco's bakery for the team in work, so we've all been nibbling those. Think the rest will go on stashing myself some nice bottles of wine, a 3 for £12 or some such. Also planned to be doing a simple curry for tea tonight with some of my LO roast chicken from Sunday, looking forward to it already! Other than that not much to report, just same old routine really.

Welcome BLUis :wave:The more the merrier x

Souk08 well done on your new job :T
Well bad news on the car the torsion bar and shock absorbers have gone kaput and we are looking at a bill of £600 plus  on a twenty year old car I don't think so - it can go up the tip.
DH is close to tears he loves that car but why throw money on something that is needing more and more work doing to it.

Now we have got to go looking for a bloomin car.

Got an airer full of wet washing and trying to get it dry.

beemuzed it sounds like your lappy fan could need cleaning out sounds like it could be full of dust - I got a laptop cooler that plugs into the usb port in poundland and it keeps the laptop cool.

    ¡Hola!

Well another lazy day here, will tackle all once our visitor leaves on Thursday. We have to take her to Alicante early in Thursday morning, so may spend the day there - heat permitting.

Re the Laptops, even though their name suggests it, are not designed to sit on your lap as the vents are underneath which allow air in and heat out!! Saying that this is exactly what I am doing atm, but I got a Laptop Cooler off E-Bay, it connects to the PC USB port and takes the power from there with three fans on top which blow air into the lappy, thus making it comfortable on my knee and keeping it cool out here.

Back with wi-fi BB thankfully, not very MS, but this is my hobby, we don't smoke, and currently not even drinking! The weight is coming off with the LC, 3.1kg so far, another 2.7kg before I come off induction, then my have a few weeks on OWL, before going back to it, cannot stay on it too long a very boring, and restricting. Treat myself some Raspberries yesterday to add to the SF Jelly, 2.55€:eek::eek: But they were nice as will do either 3 or 4 servings for me, added them to a Peach with some cream for my lunch, followed by 1/4 apple, after a Bacon & Egg with fried mushrooms & peppers for Breakfast. No hunger problems, finding something I fancy is the biggest problem. Tonight will be hard as going for a cheapy Chinese, but may just have the Duck in Pineapple Sauce, and try not to eat much of the sauce, with a salad starter and coffee after. 6.95€ for the Especial Menu del Dia, which comes with a (weak) Sangria starter, 1/2 bottle of wine, or small beer, or soft drink, 3 courses with either Especial Egg Fried Rice, Rice, or Noodles, and a nightcap when you pay the bill.

First though we are going to get into Torre which didn't happen last night.

((hugs)) to C-C's doggie, Diva, Pen-Pin, and all our other poorly posters past or present.

Jayward - Hope the Graduation goes OK tomorrow/Thursday?? and you keep OK for it.

    Take care all - DG

    Afternoon all,
I've not been in long,I went on the train to the next town to meet a friend I worked with, she had a baby boy a few weeks ago( the one I made the first baby quilt for)He is still gorgeous. We had some lunch in a nice little place, then a mooch around the town, baby was really good and let his mum have her lunch in peace. It was lovely to see her,we worked in the same classroom for 3 years until I left, and always got on well.

After I left her,I had a quick look in Wilkinsons,as we dont have one, bought a couple of bits, and some cheap boots from the market hall, then got the train home.

My laptop is playing up,said it had a malicious item when I switched on this morning,so did a scan and disinfect, but is very slow now.I'll have to investigate further.

SistercasI also started the Harcombe diet last week, its the last day of induction today.I sent for the book and the recipes from Amazon in their half price sale.Veggie curry for me tonight,I made a big batch at weekend, and have frozen some-its pretty good.I've lost nearly 5 pounds so far, still a good few to go though.

Crazychikglad your dog is on the mend.Mine gave me the most rapturous welcome when I came in-anyone would think I'd been gone 4 weeks instead of 4 hours :rotfl:

Hope everyones day is going well.Hugs to PennyPif she's out of hospital x

    Afternoon all

I have had a really carp day :( I found out this morning that a work colleague has a serious medical condition and needs a major op next week, it's life threatening. We are all shell-shocked at work, we are a small group of just 8 people. I am particularly close to him and I just feel so useless :(.

On a more positive note, I submitted my application for my boss's job, had confirmation of my place on my teaching course and a letter saying I am having a small pay rise. But none of this is important at the moment.

    Sorry to be so down

Can't believe I'm on page 1 at this time of day!

Nice day here although we have had some rain which saves on watering the garden. Went to lunch with my oldest friend earlier....she had done about 8 different dishes ( small amounts) which we had with salad, bread, glass of wine, followed by ice-cream, raspberries, cherries and blueberries....delicious. DD3 comes for dinner on Tuesday so am cooking in a minute....steak, broccoli, mushrooms and potatoes.

Have tidied the room that DD2 uses when she comes, still have to clean her bathroom and hoover, but at least have made a start....will do it to-night as not feeling very energetic at present.

Hugs to all in need or want

    Marie
