Hi,
Posted this elsewhere but not had anything back.
Does anyone know if I book BA flights through Opodo using my BA Amex card whether or not I'll get the normal double BA miles?
Thanks

I think you have to book direct with BA for double miles, BA will not know how you paid for the tickets if you book through any agent, on line or face to face.0

I have a BA AMEX & I am sure that last time I booked BA flights not through the BA website I got double ..... but of course I might be completely wrong ... have you tried ringing them ...
Is it cheaper to book via Opodo than BA website?

Also remember that BA give very few miles on all their cheap restricted tickets, probably most of those on Opodo!0

But AMEX will know that you have booked a BA flight, so should tell BA??

I think Amex will only know you have made a booking with Opodo, they will simply debit your card for the flights you book, Opodo's creditcard system will pass no information to BA at all. BA do not care how you pay, simply that Opodo pay them on the 17th of the following month by the usual travel agent direct debit. I would contact BA before making any booking with any agent hoping to get double miles0

I would say it depends on how opodo do the booking. For example, with expedia, if you don't book one of their 'special rate flights', you get charged a booking fee from expedia and then the actual ticket cost is billed direct from the airline, I assume in this case the ticket cost itself would get double points.
Agents do this for flight only bookings to reduce their card fees I assume.0
